These ice cubes are fun to make and can be added to your water for some subtle flavor or thrown into smoothies or daiquiris.
Yields 1 Tray
- 1 ice cube tray
- 2 cups of water (16oz/473gr)
- 4 tablespoons Agua Fresca mix of your choice (pineapple, mango, or strawberry)
- 1 cup of diced fruit (either strawberry, mango, pineapple, or any fruit you like!)
We found that 1 ice cube tray takes about 2 cups of prepared mix. To start make the Agua Fresca by adding 4 tablespoons of mix to 2 cups of room temperature water. Set that aside.
Next dice up the fruit into about 3/4 to 1/2 inch pieces and place them in a bowl.
Now start to add the fruit to the ice cube tray. You can add as much or as little as you like.
Now slowly pour the Agua Fresca mix into the tray covering the fruit. If you have a lid to put onto the tray you can place that on. Otherwise, carefully transfer the tray to a level spot in the freezer and leave it overnight. The next day you will have refreshing Agua Fresca ice cubes to add to your water bottle or evening cocktail. ¡Salud!
